We are Ditto

Have you ever met someone and just thought, ditto! This moment happened for Ditto founders DeeLyn and Hayley over a decade ago, when they met through a shared passion for all things art, music, design and fashion. Both jewellery designers by trade, a creative collaboration was inevitable and thus Studio Ditto was born.

Ditto’s mission is to design and create accessories that are sustainable and practical, yet fun and unique, and always with a strong attention to detail.

Feeling frustrated by the ‘greenwashing’ of companies when trying to buy sustainable products, we felt compelled to do better. Our goal is to be 100% sustainable, and through creative use of waste materials, sourcing quality recycled materials and signposting where to recycle your Ditto item at its end of life (in the distant future!). We are doing a pretty good job, but we are always striving to do better.

Sustainability + materials

We pledge to always be honest with you about the materials we use; if it isn’t Eco, we will tell you so, but rest assured we are constantly looking at better solutions to improve our practices and open to any suggestions.

For our bags collections we have sourced reclaimed upholstery and end of line fabrics from interior designers, upholsterers, and manufactures that would otherwise end up in landfill. We handpick each one to ensure high quality, durability and a unique look—meaning most bags are one-of-a-kind or limited edition. For the smaller bags and the linings, we rescue discarded festival tents, curtain offcuts, and fabric blinds, giving them a second life. Many of the straps are recycled climbing rope from indoor climbing centres after they've reached the end of their safe usage there — still strong, colourful, and full of new potential.

With our expansion into jewellery comes more reclaimed and eco materials. Our new range is made using linoleum sample flooring—a material that’s naturally biodegradable and made from renewable resources like cork dust, linseed oil, wood flour and natural pigments. We’re proud to rework this humble material into striking, wearable pieces that continue our mission of rethinking waste into something beautiful, durable and useful.

methods + drop structure

As experienced designer-makers, we believe in buying less, buying better. That’s why our bags and jewellery is are built around convertibility and customisation — designed to adapt to your life, not the other way around. Every product is made ethically and by hand in Liverpool, either by us or in collaboration with a trusted two-person local atelier. This means you’re not just getting a bag — you’re getting something crafted with care, attention, and integrity.

Handmade means limited edition or one-of-a-kind. Because we use reclaimed and surplus materials, no two drops are ever the same. You won’t bump into five other people with the same bag or necklace— and you can customise yours even further by choosing your own strap and logo colour with bags or requesting custom colours for your jewellery. We’re not here for fast, disposable fashion. We’re here for style that reflects you — not a passing trend. Style should be personal, not prescribed.

We release products in small drops, or a limited run jewellery collection. Once a design is gone, it’s gone — we don’t restock the same combo, because our reclaimed materials are finite. Dittoverse members always get first dibs with early access to each launch, so if you haven’t already, SIGN UP HERE and join us on this sustainable fashion and design journey.

sustainability

Our dedication to sustainability is central to all decisions at Ditto. We strive to be part of the solution, not the problem, by utilising deadstock and waste materials to craft functional and stylish accessories that contribute to the circular economy. We value transparency and welcome suggestions on how to continuously improve.

Creativity

We believe ingenuity plus a bit of creativity can tackle most problems. Our experience in jewellery design makes us acutely aware of greenwashing in the fashion world. Frustration with this & knowing it could be done better was the core inspiration for us to form Ditto. Our mission is to honour YOUR creativity with exclusive & customisable choices. When we connect with the “things” in our lives, we are less inclined to frequently replace them.

Exploration

Curiosity has fuelled so many of our most important big life changes. We want to make it simple for everyone to explore the world, whatever that means to you. From rainy commutes to spontaneous city breaks, our designs are ready to join your every adventure. Our functional core staples will effortlessly complement your work, play, and travel wardrobe.
